[Having passed through the woods and then through fields and small forests for several days, the residents on the expedition are now coming to the edge of more trees. It is close to nightfall, with the sky dusking and the cold November chill setting in, but they're so close they can feel it. It shouldn't be more than another six hours or so.
But six hours is a long time to tackle the forests by night. Perhaps making camp would be best for now, so that they might be able to tackle the trees under daylight.
Worry not, though, travelers: there's plenty to examine on the forest's edge.]
