[The cemetery, now that it's nearing the end of the festivities, looks a little different. Decorative throw pillows, if you didn't leave any customary ones for your dearly departed, have been provided for all of the graves, sitting neatly near the flowers and other decorations and offerings. A table has been placed next to the entrance, an ( Read more... )

Amy Pond and Rory Williams too_fairytale November 3 2010, 00:50:52 UTC
[the Scottish ginger and the plastic man are sitting cross-legged in front of Rory's tombstone. Amy came by earlier in the day to decorate it after Rory told her it was there--she figured that she was probably supposed to, since she couldn't leave their room until she built a shrine to someone and Rory is the only person she knows who's died. (Even though he hasn't died yet, in her own timeline back home. It counts.)

It's a little awkward, sitting with one's fiancé in front of his own gravestone, but Amy is determined to make the best of it. Therefore, they're reminiscing about good times they shared back in Leadworth]

[he's got one of her hands in his lap, fingers entwined with his and idly running his thumb across her knuckles. Rory indeed feels a bit awkward, but once he got past the fact that he was sort of sitting in front of his own grave, it wasn't so bad. The air is crisp and cool while Amy is warm and the ground around them is liberally covered in fallen leaves; it reminds him of home]

... Remember the time in year eleven you convinced me to skip school with you and we took a train to Bristol?

[Amy smiles in fond remembrance, leaning into him for a moment]

It only took... what? An hour of batting my eyelashes at you.

[and in return he leans his head on hers for that brief moment]

Didn't stop me from worrying or complaining the whole way there though ... but I can admit it now, the idea of spending a whole day alone with you, away from Leadworth, was really too much to resist. [he nudges her with his elbow] You know I spent that whole day hoping you'd kiss me?

[York is at his own grave, in a much better mood than yesterday. He's brought a little tiny holoprojector with a short clip of himself and Carolina, his dead girlfriend, and placed it right on the gravestone.

Delta seems to be chasing a ghostly image of a hologram who looks an awful lot like him, blue.]

[the Doctor's got a little picnic blanket spread out in front of a stone not too, too far away - it's covered in all sorts of food, and he brings a small plate of it over to York, watching the hologram silently for a moment]

... That's a lovely idea, York. I'm sure she appreciates it.

[He takes the plate and gestures for the Doctor to sit down with him for a moment. Despite the bizarre happenings (and all the tequila he had yesterday), he actually sounds pretty mellow.]

Carolina, my old partner. I...saw her, earlier. Never thought I'd see her again.

Nor I, Katerina. [he sits, smiling] It's nice, isn't it ... quite a change from all the horror and grief we usually have here, in relation to the dead ...

[Spike didn't participate at the party going on in town (no matter how easy it'd be to blend in), he's been ignoring the journal (since everyone started taking turns over-sharing), and the whole "celebrate the dead" theme has been wearing on him even more than his ridiculous makeup job. So he doesn't know why he's standing outside the graveyard now... but morbid curiosity seems like a fitting explanation.

Best thing to do is act like everything is normal. It's not like he hasn't accepted his own decisions or has any regrets on how he ended up exactly where he always thought he would; even if the details are a little fuzzy.

He's about to go see if there's any food worth swiping and head back inside when he freezes. Someone's standing in his way -- not someone, a ghost of someone. Blond hair, somber smile, strikingly beautiful... Spike opens his mouth, but says nothing as she deliberately starts to walk towards him.

The noise of the festivities fall away, and he finds himself staring at the empty space in front of him.]

[Lucy is sitting silently in front of her own grave, knees drawn up and arms wrapped around them, staring off into middle space. If she doesn't focus on anything in particular, she thinks, maybe she'll stop seeing the Master walking amongst the ghosts]

Lenalee & Cross echivoc November 3 2010, 04:24:46 UTC
[Cross was passing through the lobby, heading towards the stairs of the Terrere Tower. He was heading back from the town festivities, but he wasn't done with the morbid, albeit respective, holiday just yet. The look on his face was the usual - rather concentrated.

If one were close, they could hear the softest jingle of a set of hair ornaments in his pocket. Well, that certainly wasn't normal. The hair ornaments were a spontaneous purchase. He was chalking it up to the castle's antics, making him buy hair ornaments when he didn't wear any.

He slowed down his progression as a form appeared a few feet away from him. He had come to a complete stop by the time he was less than five feet away from the form, studying her features. Elaborate Japanese attire, hair ornaments adorning the top of her head.

One name was coming to mind, but this face in front of him wasn't matching that name.]

[ Lenalee was descending the stairwell, having left Crowley's room after a visit with Allen. Oh, losses. He was so different, it surprised her. She looks up to see Cross and smiles, having every intention of walking over to greet him. But the soft, familiar chimes catch in her ears first she stops to hunt down the source.

Nothing could have prepared her for what she would see. The soft and eternally sweet face framed by black hair that was held up so perfectly by a pair of even more familiar pins. She almost doesn't take the next step forward, afraid that the imagine would disappear.

From behind Cross, she speaks up almost too quietly. ]

[The general hears the approach of footsteps behind him, but his focus is on the woman in front of him. That smile - it felt like it should be familiar to him. Her entire presence sends a chill down his spine, because he didn't remember her, yet she is front of him for a reason.

When Lenalee speaks up, he almost doesn't register her actually being there. He turns slightly, not wanting to break his contact with the spirit in front of him, yet not wanting to ignore Lenalee either, but as soon as he moves she's gone.]

[ She steps forward and tries to grab for the ghost but she doesn't make it. Instead, her shoulders sag and she just stares at the place where Anita had been just moments before. Of course it wouldn't last.

Without looking away, she speaks up. ]

I'm so sorry, General.
