dusk approaches...
[dusk has begun to settle over the horizon...
and as nightfall approaches, the shadows begin to shift as if alive. the townsfolk have bolted their windows and doors, gathering in 'safe houses' where soldiers from the castle and the braver men have taken up weapons outside.
as soon as the last slivers of sunlight fade in the distance...
they come. trolls, pouring in to pillage and burn, grabbing women and children to carry them off to their dens and chomping jaws into whatever prey they find. swells of darkness rise up from the ground and begin pouring like darkness through the streets - the bodies of anyone sucked up within them being melted away to bone like acid - but they seem to be repelled by the light...
and the number of stronger, more horrifying creatures only seems to be getting larger...
