THE QUEEN'S SPEECH; 1/2toscribbleJune 20 2010, 01:14:15 UTC
[She folds her hands in her lap neatly as she seems to relax in her throne. She's smiling brightly, looking over the crowd as if evaluating them.]
Good evening, Travelers. I'm so happy you've come to see me!
[She giggles childishly, swinging her legs back and forth]
I'm sure you've heard about the monsters that threaten to disturb the peace that we have tried to hard to uphold for the last hundred years. I cannot express my gratitude enough, for all the trouble you must have gone through to get here. I am sure you have many questions about what we will face together, and perhaps about this world. I will be happy to answer all of these questions for you, to the best of my ability. This world holds enough wonder to last any good explorer a millennium.
For tonight, however, I would like to host a celebration, in honor of our new-found camaraderie.
[She moves to stand, from the throne.]
I have prepared a feast for you all tonight, if you would be so kind as to accept my hospitality.

I was afraid the negotiations would go nowhere, but I was somewhat hoping it wouldn't be so obvious, so soon.
