Indeed! I'm still investigating it, myself - it appears to be somewhat like the ruined tower to the east, just beyond the first barrier.

That's certainly a possibility. I'm especially curious to see if its establishment can be verified both beyond last January, when the lands beyond the mountains became accessible, and longer than three and a half years ago, when Django first appeared.

Hmm... well, the alternate explanation is that someone else is behind the castle, using it as a front to conduct... their own things. I suppose there's no exact confirmation of sentience except for how easily we're all played and strung along, but there's no confirmation that there's a man behind the curtain either.

It seems to be a given that the castle's influence extends out till the dead zone, but I wonder if it gets weaker the further a location is from here.

That's also a good, interesting thought, and one that would make sense. I was picturing an even area of influence, but if the power is centered here...

Yeah. If our powers and technology start failing as we get closer to the dead zone, it might be the same for the castle. But I don't know how this theory could be tested.
