I've been inspired by Japanese concert-planners to have a sense of dramatic timing, so I think I'll start with the least interesting parts of my weekend, in the usual random observation format. I got my hanko today! ::bounces:: To those of you who aren't me (and Laura), you may have seen circular red stamps with kanji in them - that's a hanko, used in place of a signature. Anyway, we had a half-hearted contest among the students to make up kanji for all the new teachers' names and nobody entered, so the managers made up kanji for us. ( Read more... )
