Happiniess before the downfall?

I am in an incredibly good mood today. I don't know why i should be but i am savoring this happiness anyway. I feel like i am sort of happily, crazily dancing on the razor's edge though. Life is about to get more ugly and complicated ( Read more... )

i totally hear you on the financial woes. i am dealing with the same stuff right now and have no room on my credit cards to help... summer is coming up which means three months without income because i am a school teacher. not really sure how i'm going to get through it. desperately looking for a summer job...

my only advice about the credit card and paying your rent is this: only do it if you know you can get it paid off with the next paycheck, and then tighten down in terms of spending so that you aren't in the hole for the next month too. credit cards are such a vicious cycle and i wish i had never gotten one =\

Part of the problem is i WOULDN'T be able to pay it off with the next paycheck...i don't make enough money. I would have to make minimum payments in order to afford to keep living where i live. I've kind of put myself in a hole.

ugh, that blows. i'm sorry. not sure if you are in a one or two bedroom or whatever... can you get a roommate? otherwise i don't know what to tell ya. having a budget and not eating out and all sucks but sometimes we have to do it. i am on a super strict budget at the moment and i hate it but, yeah... shit sucks.

What you should do is use the credit card for things like food for the week, since that's easily paid off and depending on when the payments are due, you may be able to budget it or schedule it for the pay you get after the rent clears.

Also, instead of eating out, we probably should host potlucks or something, even if they're not on set days of the week.

I want to have a "stone soup" cooking party night at my house on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday night this week possibly. Although i know those are just about the worst days of the week for everyone but me. Let me know if any of those days sound good to you.
