If it's what you feel is best for you then go ahead and do it. The worst thing you can do is keep telling yourself it's a bad idea. Inner conflict is not the way to get better. Just shrug it off, realize you're still young, bright and full of fire and you have all the time in the world to get back in there.

it sounds like you made the right decision. you need the time to fix the problem, not just put it off and hope it goes away, which it obviously won't. i mean, i know it sounds like the right thing to do, to stick it out, play through the pain, etc, because school is important and don't be a wuss , yadda, yadda, but come on, why be miserable constantly if you dont have to? and it sounds as though medical help will be available to you soon and that hopefully you'll have the time between then and next semester to get it all smoothed over. you like school and learning and should be able to enjoy it, not clutching a throbbing noggin and looking at the clock waiting to get out. i think you made a good choice and i fully support it and you 100%. not that that really MEANS anything, seeing as to how i'm some disembodied internet entity and all, but for what it's worth...
