Nobody that I know of. I just felt like it was potentially offensive.

I doubt anyone was offended - it's sort of a running joke. Of course, there have only been two actual "conversions" in the last 10 years or so, and both gentlemen are unquestionably tenors. Other than that, the studio just attracts a lot of tenors since John himself made a career as a tenor.
