an overdue update
Damn, I haven't updated this in a long time. Mostly because I feel like not that much newsworthy stuff has been happening. I've been temping for the past week at a huge law firm downtown. I am so sick of sending messages out into the ether and never hearing so much as an echo back. I do this with jobs I am applying for. I do this with old friends. I send out gushing letters full of heart and am left hanging for weeks while I wonder what I did to make them want to ignore me. Tonight I met my niece Jane for the first time. She is Greg's sister's daughter, not my sister's, but I feel as though I can call her my niece. Jane is 7 months old, or so. she has wide blue eyes and loves shiny things and sings tiny tuneless songs. here's something funny that happened. so last weekend i went camping at a place called oxbow park, which is a huge regional camping/hiking/picnicing park outside of portland. when i posted my intentions on this journal i had forgotten that the eensy park in georgetown that hosts the huge fiberglass cowboy boots is also called oxbow park. so, in ( Read more... ) -
