Raggy has cancer. They gave mom some medicine for him. If it works, he'll have three weeks, and he'll have another week tops if it doesn't. They had the option of putting him to sleep, but they chose not to. Mom wants to spend as much time as she can with him before he goes. She and Ev have decided they're going to spoil him rotten and give him all

Aww. My dog had bone cancer a year or two ago and it was the same thing. She was a rescue dog and we had only had her for about 6 months. We spoiled her rotten for several months before having her put down (the tumor was under her front armpit(legpit?) and it grew so big she couldn't walk on that leg.)
So even though she passed away, we know she was a happy dog in her last couple months. I'm sure it'll be the same way with your ferret.
