I went to Circuit City yesterday because they're closing and I wanted to stock up on dvds and such while it's all marked down, and they didn't have season 2! I was so disappointed, man. Hope the kids in your class don't get too discouraged by the standardized testing. It's sad to hear that they have a hard time with it and that schools can't do a lot under current circumstances to make it easier for them. :

Yeah it's tough working with learning disabled kids because even though they do get certain accomodations, there's only so much we can do for a state test. It's so frustrating because we want to help them but just can't! This is my first year giving the test, too, so I'm a little nervous because it's all so strict. :/

Speaking of Dethklok, I went to Old Navy today to check out all the winter clearance (wtf it's still winer, I don't want to buy spring stuff yet!), and I saw this awesome t-shirt with the silhouette of A GIANT OCTOPUS. I had to get it because it reminded me of Pickles and his spirit animal!! XDDD I NEED HELP.

I didn't realize how many kids get screwed over by No Child Left Behind until I started working in special ed! We were in our own little bubble of "AP STUDENTS PLZKTHX" in high school so I had no idea! *iz a horrible person*

I went to Best Buy last week and got season one. I had been debating whether to do it, but you pushed me over the edge. XD And they didn't have the second. But I went again today for two different movies, a totally different Best Buy and they didn't have it either! Boo and bullfrogs!

I'm sorry about the work thing. I knew standardized tests were fucked up, but daaaaamn. I think things will be better soon though. I know there are a lot of other issues at the forefront, but I really hope education gets addressed soon too.

YAAAY RECRUIT MOAR DETHKLOK FANZ!!! :DDD The funny thing is, when I was looking for season 1 I couldn't find it anywhere because they only had season 2!! WEIRD. This was at Target though, so maybe you should try there. I'm waiting for a coupon or a sale or something, it's a bit more expensive than season 1. :P

I never really minded taking standardized tests myself (except for the SATs) because I always found them easy, but we have kids who can barely read and write who get no help at all on it, and they just do horribly and feel bad about it. I hope things change with Obama! :DD
