Cause You're the Truth (Not I), G, Richard/Jacob pre-slashprimarycolors92August 8 2011, 04:22:41 UTC
"What are you doing?" Jacob moves silently, as always, but Richard no longer startles at the sound of his voice. There is comfort there.
"La luna," Richard explains, not moving his gaze from the darkened sky. "She is almost full tonight."
"Why..." Jacob begins, but he does not seem to know how to continue. This is comforting too, that Jacob is sometimes as confused by Richard as Richard is mystified by him. "Why do you care about her?"
Richard considers everything he knows, and then everything he believes. "She is a gift from God," he tells this strange man who may be God. "To give us light in the darkness

He was gone when autumn came, PG, one-sided Jack/Jacobprimarycolors92August 8 2011, 01:16:25 UTC
It hits Jack halfway across the river, causing him to lose his footing and stumble into the water. This is unusual enough for Jacob to turn around.
"What's wrong, Jack?" Jack forces a pained laugh; Jacob winces at the sound.
"It's silly, really. I just realized I can never go home. Not like it was."
Jacob sighs, fighting back the hurt he's far too big a man (myth) to feel. "You are home, Jack."
Jack pretends to agree but he knows it's not quite true, not yet. Not in the rivers and the jungle, not on the beach, not around a campfire neither Jack nor Jacob's ghost needs to feel warm.
But. But sometimes Jack dreams. He dreams in flashes of sensation, fingers against lips and skin pressed against skin. It's not much of anything, really, a ghost and a dream and the end of a kiss.
You're home now, Jack.
It's the most true at night, in the sleep Jack no longer needs. He dreams in lies, in impossibilities, phantom touches against phantom limbs.
Jack dreams that Jacob is gentle, that Jacob is home.
Never Set You Free, PG-13, Sam/OMCs, Sam&Deanprimarycolors92August 8 2011, 01:49:39 UTC
It's easy to keep secrets from Dean. Sammy learns this when he is twelve years old and it is something he can never unlearn, wish as he might.
It is easy to keep secrets from Dean because Dean loves Sammy more than anything or anyone in the entire world, including Dean himself. Dean love Sam and Dad, but Dean does not love Dean.
Sam learns this the day after his first kiss, with Timothy Cooper behind the gym shed during third period. It is a great first kiss, as far as first kisses go, slow and sweet with just a hint of something more far, far along the road.
When they're done with the very good first kiss, Timothy Cooper wipes his mouth with the back of his hand, grabs Sammy's arm hard, and hisses, "Don't you dare tell anyone. Don't you ever dare."
So when Dean comes to pick Sammy up from school, and the first words out of Dean's mouth are what's wrong, sammy?, Sam does the only thing he can think to do.
He opens his mouth, and he hurts Dean. His words say, I don't want to talk to you anymore, and that would be

I love how this feels so soft and tender, but then it shifts to this coldness and longing. And the last lines, wow. Wow. Love it.
