So the other day, I requested some writing prompts from my flist- a character or pairing, and a word. No minimum/maximum words, but just something to play with.

Here's round 1 of the results:

I enjoyed these fics! But I have to tell you I severely disapprove of your working on anything besides Rusted Dawn, which is one of my favorite fics ever. Get back to work! *whip cracks*

Heh, I only started doing these because my brain had locked up after writing Chapter 11- that was a *rough* bit of storytelling. And these odd little promptfics are a good way of loosening back up, so I can get back into that monster angst-fest of a tale.

But I'm glad you enjoyed them, and even happier that you like Rusted Dawn! I promise I won't play with these too long- just until the wheels start turning freely, and I can look at the big story again without wanting to cry. ;D

Great googily, that's a lot of assignments! How do you find the time to read fic at all? Though that said, thank you for checking these silly things out. Short prompts are lots of fun to write, so good for loosening the brain up a bit. And details... oh, I live for the details. ;)

Wow, these are great! I admit the Havoc prompt totally blindsided me, I didn't catch where it was going until the end.

Also, Roy as translator, I love it! Ed/Riza is one of my secret pairings; together they're like a warm, cuddly blanket of kick-your-ass. <3

The Havoc prompt was one I fully intended to surprise people, so hee, I'm glad that worked. Misdirection in fic is dreadful fun.

And Roy- he wasn't even supposed to be in that drabble, but the silly diva stepped up and took up narration! Ed/Riza is a pairing I'd never thought much about, but yeah, they could conceivably be lots of fun. "a warm cuddly blanket of kick-your-ass" -- HA!! That's brilliant!
