She has diabetes which is a bit under control now, but last week we found out that she has some heart issues. i am glad jonathan talked her into it. you sounded pretty sure that she wouldn't do it when we talked on the phone. i am glad for you and yet saddend by the whole situation. we were just learning about this in medical terminology. it is actually a pretty interesting procedure. my psychology professor just had something of this type done. i will be thinking of you and your mom next monday! goodluck!

damn! who is her heart doctor? You know, for all of its odd crappiness, unm is fantastic for things like this, thier equipment and proceedures, since they are a teaching hospital are kept more up to date than almost any one else, a few times when my Mom has had heart problems the ambulance people have actually told her it is good to be with unm!

I love you, give your Mom a big hug for me, and let me know how things are going, the hardest part is keeping the anxiety level down before the proceedures, because that always makes the heart fuss, I am so sorry that you are having to go through this all. I know that Dr Abrahms used to be the head of cardiology, and of it were not for him, my Mom would not have made it, it took over seven years for us to finally get a proper diagnosis we had been at lovelace, than we lost our insurance, and went to unm, they figured it out right away.
