PCs, Puzzles and Pocket monsters.

Since I wrote a post complaining about my laptop problems, it seems appropriate to mention that it's working again and I'm actually writing this post right now on that laptop! Yes, I am very happy about that. <3

Finally, I can recover my data and save stuff again, and do something productive! Also, with the exams being over (for now), I can be ( Read more... )

Thanks, it's good to hear that you share my feelings on these games! <3
I hope you'll enjoy the Pokémon game, too!

Concerning the Layton games, I will deliberately leave the second one out, because I know I won't be able to bear any more puzzles than I absolutely have to! Yet I'm very interested in Legal, so I will have to play that one for sure.
I actually thought a lot about your puzzle-destroying archenemy while playing it. XD

Haha, good to know you approve of this silly attempt! But that's how I roll. Sometimes I just spoil myself and play or read things kind of... backwards. It can be an interesting experience! (Much like reading some of your fanfics before playing Apollo Justice - suddenly, all fell into place!)

I know what you mean about the puzzles. I generally try to solve them, but as soon as I feel I''m getting nowhere I consult the walkthrough for at least a hint. Sometimes I'm just plain lazy. I see how I *could* think through the puzzle but don't feel like it and just want to get on with the game, so I cheat by looking up the solution. I don't care. It's a game, it's supposed to be fun.

I do the same for Phoenix's game, only there I usually don't even try to figure things out by myself (though more often than not I see what needs to be done way ahead of the characters and it's frustrating having to work through all the baby steps to get. things. done).

I started with the first game though because the third is said to tie up all the lose ends from the first two games, so I figured doing it right would help enjoy the third game even more.
Even though I so so so can't wait for Godot! >__

I don't have any motivation to solve them - and sometimes, I really don't feel like concentrating on that much. Especially since I play games to recover from learning or reading university stuff. ^^"

XDXD
