You won't like this probably, but I've been just doing 10 sit-ups in the morning (feet under a couch, pull myself up)...first thing I do when I get out of bed. And after 3 weeks...it's making a difference. Noticeable.
Um... it's a combination of thing... When I was in Cleveland, I was drinking a lot of beer and eating a lot of chicken wings... I lost about 20 lbs at one point with weight watchers, which I think is great... But befere moving out here I was pretty unhappy and partying it up with my Cleveland peeps... So, I got fat again...
And when I moved out here, I drank less... I didn't eat so many chicken wings, and started cooking a lot for myself... And I quit smoking and started running... And I was busy... So, there went like 20 lbs...
And then the lastest 20 were, i think, a combination of starting smoking again (ironic, I know) and being really stressed out and kind of miserable for awhile. I wasl iving on coffee and cigarettes and forgot to eat a lot of time... And I just generally lost my appetite... So... I dunno... :) More info than you wanted?? :)
wow...congrats erin! losing that much weight is hard work.
as for ab stuff...the only time i had what could be called a "four pack" was when i was in serious cardio training and did 90 situps a day on the ball and Kathy Smith's pilates for abs 3xs a week (they have it at collegevideo.com).
since you are already doing the cardio, i would say get an exercise ball (if you don't already have one) and start doing sit-ups on it...i found kathy's pilates for abs video worked great...what pilates are you doing? hers is 20 mins and it's all just abs, so i knew i was targeting my prob area.
You go girl!

That is totally awesome Erin!!
I'd love to be able to lose weight--I'd even take 5-10 pounds now...but alas, I have found myself to be more on the ...ahem... positive side of the weight issue since Wooster. As for how to improve your abs? 'Fraid I would be no help. :-(
EK you CANNOT expect to see results in a week! It just doesn't happen- ever. But the good news is that you've still got an entire month before the vacay... so keep up the good work and you'll be glad you did! You have already achieved AMAZING results anyway! Even your new suits barely fit you now. And its okay to give in to cravings once in a while- if you deny yourself all the time you'll just end up going on a binging rampage later, which is way worse. You need to realize how far you've come and be PROUD of yourself! You rock!!! =) P.S. you are already the smallest of any of the people going to the beach!
