this makes so much sense. I've always thought that this was true, it's interesting to have some research back it up. Where is this from? I'd like to see the whole thing...

But honestly, and I'm not trying to sound bad, I've been getting compliments on my looks for a long time and it's created waaay too much pressure. I firmly believe that a large part of my eating disorder stems from my feeling of having to live up to these standards. That everyone will be disappointed if I don't look good, like I'm wasting myself or something.
