Time: Late Friday Night

Warnings: none yet... besides 'awakening' Chii ;)

( There had to be some place in this huge city that had a place for Seifer to stay for the night. )

A soft whirring of activated machine could be heard in the languid silence of the night. The girl opens her eyes, looking blankly at the person who activated her, loading up the necessary data to function. After a few brief seconds, she blinks her eyes as naturally as any human girl would. Looking at Seifer with question in her eyes, she sits up, saying "Chii?" as if it were a question.

Noting that it was Seifer who turned her on because there were no one else around, she smiles and pounces on the man with glee, shouting "Chii! Chii!" repeatedly. Acting like a dog greeting her owner when he comes back home after a whole day of work, the girl barked out the single syllable word again and again.

"What the hell-!?" exclaimed Seifer. The thing's lifelike nature had taken him off guard, and when Chii had pounced on him he was completely surprised and toppled right over. She was also a lot stronger than she looked- which wasn't saying all that much, really- and even if he had been expecting the friendly assault he would have been successfully pounced ( ... )

... Hyne, here. Just... put this on, Seifer muttered while holding out his coat for Chii to take. She understands his gesture of offering the coat to her so she takes it into her hands, but she cannot seem to interpret what 'hyne here just put this one' could`possibly mean.

She holds the coat in her hands and looks back at Seifer, "Chii?" wondering what it is she should do with the piece of cloth. Noticing the expression in his eyes that she interpreted as scared, Chii responds by displaying a worried expression as she is programmed to. "Chii?" using the single-syllable word as a way of saying 'what's wrong?'

Sighing in frustration and slight annoyance, Seifer stood up. He half-helped, half-pulled Chii to do the same, and then sloppily put the jacket on her. As she stood looking at him oh-so-innocently, Seifer narrowed his eyes the slightest bit.

"Who- what are you?" the blond asked suspiciously as he peered at her, unsure if he should even expect a response. But even though he wouldn't show it, he honestly had no idea how to handle this odd situation. "How- are you even-?" he began, not sure which question to ask first. But seeing her blank stare, Seifer sighed and simply shot a sarcastic, "You don't even understand what I'm saying, do you?"

Seifer put the jacket around her and noticing it as a gesture of kindness, rewards him with the sweetest smile she can muster. Hugging him would be a better reward but Chii noticed how unnerved he seemed when she did that so she concludes that she should not do it again.

Chii notices how Seifer's eyes are narrow, a sign of suspicion, and decides that she needs to do something to make him know that he does not have to be suspicious of Chii because he is her master now. Seifer stumbles all over his words and she cannot understand anything he is saying, except the last part where he states that Chii does not understand what he is saying.

She does, actually. Chii also understands that the question is called a 'rhetorical question' that she must not answer because the person might get offended. She also realizes that when two people meet for the first time, they exchange names. Gesturing to herself, "Chii," and pointing to him, "Chii?" she tries to ask him his name.
