The Awakening [Complete]

"What the hell-!?" exclaimed Seifer. The thing's lifelike nature had taken him off guard, and when Chii had pounced on him he was completely surprised and toppled right over. She was also a lot stronger than she looked- which wasn't saying all that much, really- and even if he had been expecting the friendly assault he would have been successfully pounced.

Struggling to rise, Seifer soon managed to sit up and hold the girl by the shoulders an arm's length away from him. He was dumbfounded for a moment, seeing the oh-so-human expression in the thing's eyes, and then simply shook his head in utter disbelief and confusion.

"... Hyne, here. Just... put this on," Seifer half-muttered, unsure if the thing could even understand his words. He removed his coat and held it out to Chii. Although the blond still had no idea what to do with this thing, he figured that it would definitely not hurt to get some clothes on her... at least temporarily, to decide whether he was even going to stay or not.

But before he said or did anything else- or made any decisions- Seifer (fairly freaked out at this point) waited to watch Chii don the coat and to see what this strange girl's next course of action would be.
