Traveling around Paixao still felt really slow to Hope, even though he'd been here for a few months now. It took him a while to get to the beach, especially since getting past the guards was always such a pain.
"Hey," he called out to Xion when he saw her. His feet kicked up some sand as he ran over, a rare grin on his face. "It's been a while."
Xion turned and smiled at him as he approached. It was really nice to see him again. "Yea, it has. How are you?" He seemed happy, which was good. She would have felt awful if something bad happened and she wasn't around to help.
"Good," Hope answered, almost reflexively. That wasn't exactly true, and he wasn't trying to fool himself by saying it, but he didn't want to burden Xion with his own problems. She probably had some of her own, anyway.
"Good!" Roxas didn't have his memories back yet, which worried her a little since he didn't seem to know if that's what he wanted (to her it didn't matter, he was her friend no matter what) and it kind of seemed to scare him some. But it would be alright. She was sure it would. "Yorda invited me and Flonne and Namine to a sleepover... we didn't get much sleep though, which was weird. I guess that might be how it's supposed to work, but then I don't know why you'd call it a sleepover." It was probably very obvious to Hope that she had no idea what that was.
"You'd never been to a sleepover before? I thought girls did that all the time." They did around Cocoon, anyway. Hope remembered lots of the girls he used to play with having sleepovers, and they invited a bunch of people all at once. The guys never really went to any of them, but they heard all about what happened the next day.
"Apparently you're not supposed to get much sleep at them."
