"I didn't really know many other girls back home." She actually didn't know any, with the exception of Namine and she hadn't even known her very well. "Why don't boys do it? And... why are they called sleepovers if you don't sleep?" Xion was a little hung up on that point.
"That's not so bad," Hope answered. There were girls back in Palumpolum who hadn't made a lot of friends either. They were rare, but not so bad. Some of them were really nice.
"I never figured out either of those things." He laughed a little. "They never made much sense to any of the boys, so we just didn't worry about them. We were just kids anyway, not like it made any difference.
"Yea, I guess not." She smiled, looking back towards the beach. "D'you wanna walk around some? I don't really know what people do on the beach, but I think it's nice to just walk, sometimes."
"Sure. Maybe we could build some sandcastles after."
This was starting to feel more and more like a date. But...Hope didn't really mind. He liked having someone like Xion around, someone nice, who he could have fun with.
Xion had heard of those, but... hadn't ever made one before. Hopefully, Hope did. "Ok! That could be fun!"
She smiled brightly, before taking Hope's hand (as she'd seen other people do, sometimes). "I found a really pretty spot a while ago this way." She turned, and, still holding his hand, headed towards the spot.
