Every night, Mufasa sought out guidance from the stars. And every night, he received vague and jumbled answers. But, still, he kept in contact with them. The kings of the past would contact him: he was certain of it. He just needed to be in the right place at the right time.

However, it seemed like he had company tonight. The sight of Hei confused him at first, but he did not let it show. Instead, he approached the man with a quiet grace, his head held high. After all, what did he have to fear from man? Unless this one was wielding a weapon, Mufasa knew that his fangs and claws were enough to put even the seasoned human hunter off of his game.

"Do you seek guidance as well?" his voice was light and soft, though there was no hiding its power and depth, "Are you new to Paixao?"

Hei could hear the soft slow padding on cobblestones. The voice thankfully wasn't threatening as he didn't want anymore problems. He had more than enough, and he didn't even know enough about the Organization, these mysterious and very powerful enemies that made living shadows.

Hei as Li looked behind him to see the big feline coming his way and quickly backed up a few feet. First a pesky hyena, then an amusing meerkat named Timon that tried and failed to steal from him, and now a curious lion. At this rate, the next African mammal he might meet next would be an elephant.

Li laughed nervously as he had shown a convincing amount of fear. If a fight could be avoided, so much the better. To display such innocence and skittishness would have the lion see that Li was not a threat. "Ahahaha, well--I suppose I am searching for some answers. A-And, yes, I arrived earlier today."

Mufasa paused a short distance away from Hei, his glowing eyes focused on the human. He then sat down and looked up at the star-strewn sky. No, Hei, he was not in the habit of being defensive with strangers. He preferred to reserve judgement until a person's - or animal's - true nature was revealed.

"I haven't found many, but there might be a reason for that too." his deep voice rumbled in amusement, "Welcome. My name is Mufasa."

Hei as Li let himself relax a little, and maintained the nervous act at a normal level. This something different and unexpected. Still, Hei kept his eyes on Mufasa as he hadn't moved, other than moving a hand on his neck. By nature, he was very cautious around those he did not know--sometimes too cautious to keep his true identity concealed.

"...Thanks, I guess? Sorry, but you really startled me." As he settled down after a light laugh of nervousness (or was that embarrassment?), he bowed a little. "I'm Li Shengshun."

"What do you prefer to be called?" Mufasa noticed Hei's caution and did his best to remain a respectful distance, "Your name is...strange." he arched a brow, "Where were you born?"

As he spoke, he softened his voice so as to keep the conversation friendly. Mufasa was well-aware of his imposing nature. There weren't many lions that were bigger than him, after all.
