Yorda had not been allowed in very many shops ever since the new Mayor had come in, and for the life of her, she couldn't understand why. Honestly, the thought that her clothing might be inadequate never even occurred to her - fashion was something that never crossed her mind; as long as she was covered what would it matter? But then, the shocked looks directed at her by the city-dwellers, not a few of which were aimed at her bare feet and ankles, told otherwise. The princess paid them no heed, aside from the occasional curious glance (why were they looking at her feet?), and continued on her way.

She barely managed to avoid bumping into what looked like another native Paixaoan to her, and stared, blinking owlishly at Joshua.

Joshua smiled (though with him, it was always more of a smirk than a smile) at the girl, giving her a playful wave. "Hello there," he said, perfectly cheerful, "Might want to be a bit more careful, some people would likely get rather cross if you ran into them."

Yorda still didn't quite understand the subtle (and not-so-subtle) nuances of facial expression, and merely smiled at Joshua in return. "I am sorry," she told him, still staring (and wasn't the other girl's voice deeper than most?). "I will take care." The princess stepped closer, peering at the stranger. "You do not look like a citizen of this town," she said, plainly. "Who are you?"

"You're right! I'm not," Joshua said, pushing his hair back, "Though, someone did mistake me for one earlier... my name's Yoshiya." And he wasn't lying- that was his name, and to anyone who spoke Japanese they'd be able to tell it probably wasn't a girl's name. But that didn't matter right now, did it? "And you are?"

Yorda, not being able to speak Japanese, believed him, anyway. What reason would someone have to lie about their gender? "My name is Yorda," she told the strange boy. As per usual, curiosity threatened to overwhelm her - there was still so much she didn't know! But remembering how people sometimes reacted to being hit with question after question, the princess restrained herself and only asked one, for now. "Where did you come from?"
