Well, that was unexpected.
"Are you some kind of magician?" she watched him curiously. Unfortunately for Naesala, Vanille is not easily frightened into running off. She might back up a few steps or scream, but her curiosity is a lot stronger than her fear.
"I don't think we've met before. I'm Vanille~." she held out her hand, "Are you a raven or a person?"

Perhaps transforming while he wasn't going to put up a fight or hunt for small prey was unlike him, but he only did it to confirm that those blonde humans were indeed featherless chickens. His retainer or wasn't around to hassle him about it, but the memories of him never really left his mind from the moment he arrived to this world...
Naesala had picked off two gems before he was questioned of being a magician. She might have been confused by the big wings on his back. Since Naesala had assumed that he had to be the only laguz in existence within Paixao's city borders, he wasn't at all startled by her questions.
Taking his sweet time, Naesala turned around and glanced at Vanille, the first that didn't seem to be a native of this place. One from another world, I presume ( ... )

"Oh?" she perked up, smiling as he explained, "A laguz? I've never met one of those. What world are you from?"
Dropping her hand by her side, Vanille tilted her head. Alright, so physical contact was out - for whatever reason. She could deal with that.
"Naesala, nice to meet you!" she beamed, her green eyes sparkling, "It's nice to know that not everyone here is normal."
Because normal is boring. Yes? Yes.
