To say Yuna had had a bad day was an understatement. A gross understatement. Discovering what she'd found put a damper on her normally unshakably happy mood. She'd left the Pride Lands as quickly as she could, though the feeling of being watched never quite left her, even as she ran through the deserted city of Zanarkand.

As she came to the city's edge, the path she was running along veered sharply upward, climbing the steep mountain up to the mouth of Gagazet's peak. Yuna didn't make it that far. She slowed down halfway to the entrance, noticing a strangely familiar woman standing in front of the city. Dropping down to a walk, Yuna shaded her eyes, squinting so she could see better.

"...Lenne?" she called, wondering if her eyes were betraying her.

It took a few moments longer than it normally may have for Lenne to realize she had been addressed. She was so deep in thought that very little would have been able to break through to her. Somehow, Yuna's voice managed to pull her back out of her reveries. She didn't immediately recognize the woman, however, so Yuna's squinting was definitely mirrored on Lenne's face for another awkward moment. Then suddenly, it clicked.

...And if Yuna was there, this could not possibly be her Zanarkand. That both comforted the songstress and broke her heart even deeper.

She tried to smile, but the effort it took made it very weak.

"That's me," she managed to call back.

Yuna could wait all day if she needed to. Talking to Lenne was much preferable than anything Hades could do or say. As soon as the songstress confirmed her assumption, Yuna took the remaining strides forward, stopping close by with a smile on her face.

"It's nice to see you again," she told Lenne honestly. "I didn't know you were back."

As it were, Zim was trying so hard to get back to his machine and get the poor thing fixed so he could high-tail it outta this trap. But. Unfortunately, the world seemed to like toying with him, which meant that every time Zim got remotely close to his machine, he was whisked away to some random place.

Destiny Islands was...by far the worst..being dropped in the ocean and all, but the last and most recent time he was dropped from a wormhole. Quite literally, too. Some yards off from the two ladies, Zim fell a whole twenty feet from the air, kicking and screaming until hitting the ground with a prominent 'thud.'

"Ugh--stupid..what's wrong with this..can't even believe.." He grumbled under his breath, trailing off as he lied there.

Lenne couldn't help but begin to smile, just a little, but genuinely, once again enthralled by Yuna's contagious optimism. She also felt a pang of guilt that she hadn't made her presence in the city known sooner... even though she still couldn't remember everyone she knew she knew.

"It's nice to see you, too," she greeted in turn. Her mouth was open to explain that she really hadn't been back long, when a wormhole opened a fair distance from them, and out dropped a screaming, flailing creature. That couldn't be a fiend... could it?

"What... is that?" Lenne asked Yuna quietly, turning to her.
