It more along the lines of just...wandering and memorizing a few landmarks here and there. She didn't even really know there was a map in the journal in the first place, and so has gone with the assumption there wasn't one in the first place.

At first, Vitani doesn't actually notice her brother there, too many various other sights and smells catching her attention. But then it's only a matter of time before she finally catches that familiar scent, not to mention that nagging feeling she was being stared at. Well, more than she had been by the people of Paixao.

Standing up, she goes over to him, and even seems happy to see him no less.

"Kovu, there you are!"

That was....not the reaction Kovu was expecting. He blinked a couple times and his jaw dropped before he was really able to say anything. He stared hard at his sister, trying to figure out what insane thing must have happened to make her excited at the prospect of seeing him.

"Uh...hi..." He looked down at her, much the way he had when he first met Kiara after they'd grown up. All those things Vitani had said over the journals had to be true...she really did smell like she'd been in the Pride Lands, and it wasn't just a passing scent, either. She had to have been there for a while for the scent to linger like that.

Other than those couple of words though, he was speechless. What was he even supposed to say to her? Nothing would really make sense, and they'd already talked about a lot of things on the journals, so...

Vitani herself seems confused, not understanding exactly why Kovu was acting the way he was. But then again, his words themeselves had been rather confusing. Acting like he didn't know he was with Kiara, saying not only Mother but Scar were here as well...

But she's still just happy to find something familiar in such a strange place, where she hardly recognized anything at all. Much better than being stuck on her own, it was strange. The only time she was alone before was when she was actually ordered to do something by Zira, not from being thrown somewhere new with no idea what to do.

She stops in front of him, expression a mixture of amuzement and bemusement. "What's wrong, Kovu? You're acting strange."

Hi! Have another lion! canfinallyroar March 12 2011, 02:30:29 UTC
Simba sulked around the city of Paixao, lost in his thoughts. It seemed like lost souls were popping up and disappearing everywhere. Things have certainly seemed to have become complicated at his stay in this strange place, and Simba really didn't like it. He often found himself missing his old life of Hakuna Matata, and old nightmares merged with new ones now, making sleep almost impossible. If only there was a way to get away from it all, even just a moment...

Simba didn't know when he got to Muspelheim. All he did know was that a strange scent was in the air. No doubt a lion, but one he had yet to encounter. Could it be Zira, perhaps? Simba tensed and looked around, spotting a lioness not too far off. No, it couldn't be her. Surely, she would have sniffed him out and attacked him by now instead of sitting around. He stayed rooted to the spot, indecisive about whether or not he should try to sneak away for confront the lioness.

Howdy~ And the more the merrier~ lionessofwar March 12 2011, 02:50:28 UTC
And at first, as with Kovu, Vitani doesn't notice. Not until the breeze managed to carry his scent towards her, and she whips her head up in the direction it came from.

And for a moment just stares at Simba. He was quite a bit younger than she had ever known him to be, she must have been a small cub if she was there yet at all.

But when she gets over her surprise, she decides to get up and walk over towards him. "Hello, Simba."

Nope. Definitely not Zira. Though he hadn't met up with her in person, Simba had spoken with her over the journals, and this lioness certainly spoke differently than her, though there was a similar rough sound to her voice.

He rose an eyebrow when she called him by name though. Someone else from his 'future,' or did word spread about him that fast? "Hi...I'm supposed to know you, aren't I?"

It will probably be a while yet before Vitani understands the whole timeline thing, so she can't help the surprise that shows...but then again he looks much younger than she ever remembered. About Nuka's age had been, if she was guessing right.

"You are. I'm Vitani." Then, with some hesitation, "Zira's daughter."

This will be continuing off from the first subthread. :) jakethetigerboy March 13 2011, 03:36:40 UTC
A thirty minute train ride wasn't that bad. It would take much longer walking all the way over to the gate. At about halfway to Muspelheim, he spent most of the time thinking how crazy it has been between him and Marco. How could he be in two different places at the same time, back home and at Paixao? It just wasn't possible. Besides, he showed Marco that he had no chimpanzee morph. All the speculation about his memories or some of his morphing being blocked was just a little too much to take in, on top of all the odd stuff going on in this city ( ... )

"Yeah...that's pretty much it, I guess. Do you want to go back with me and meet with Kiara? You two should probably catch up too." Kovu stood and turned to lead Vitani, but stopped when he smelled a human. Before all that stuff on the journals that his Mother had caused, maybe he would have just walked right by without worrying. But this guy was staring straight at both of them.

Kovu planted his front paws firmly on the ground and bared his teeth.

Vitani stands to walk as well, up until she catches that scent. She knew the Jake she had spoken to was a human, and so instead of being as on guard as Kovu, she takes a couple steps forward. Still cautious on the chance she was mistaken, but...unless she tries Vitani knows there wouldn't be a way to tell if this is him or another human.

"Jake?"

Mostly, his gaze was on the male lion who was looking pissed. Not good. The lioness--Vitani, had to be--spoke to him warily. He certainly recognized her voice.

He nodded to her, his own voice not with him during that very moment. The sack he found for her could be easily seen, as he was holding it in front of him. ...I somehow doubt she'll let me become lunch meat. From what he first noticed, they looked like they seemed to know each other ( ... )
