Kairi had met her Nobody before, but that didn't mean she was any less inclined to want to see her. The few times they had been together, Naminé had managed to help her out quite a bit. Any chance to sit and chat with the girl was fine by Kairi. So now the redhead was making her way from the home she shared with Sora to the little cafe Naminé had suggested to meet at. it took her some time to locate it on her map and then actually get there, but she found it within a reasonable amount of time.

As she pushed open the door, Kairi pushed some hair behind her ear in a typical habitual gesture, and looked around. Spotting Naminé, she strolled over, clasping her hands behind her back.

"Hi Naminé." Her voice was friendly and warm as she reached out to take a seat across from the blond girl.

Unfortunately for Kairi, this Naminé hadn't experienced any of that yet. She was the shyer, much less sure of herself version, but she didn't know quite how to change that. Still, she glanced up when Kairi entered, brightening a little at the warmth to Kairi's voice.

"Hello, Kairi," she answered as her Other slid into the seat across from her.

At least... she assumed this was Kairi. The girl looked different than the form Naminé had taken to impersonate her in front of Riku, but her voice was the same as it should have been.

Naminé took a breath, willing her nerves to quiet.

"It's good to finally meet you."

She had no idea that she was so far back in Kairi's past, nor that a lot would have happened. Judging by Sora and Riku, she figured Kairi was part of her future now, but what that entailed, she didn't know.

Naminé looked just a little different than Kairi remembered. A bit shorter, more uneasy and timid... but she was still Naminé. Some part of her still felt strange, as if she was looking in an inaccurate mirror when she was saw her Nobody, yet she couldn't say the feeling effected the fact that she liked the other girl.

"I remember you saying you hadn't met me before... I guess we really are from different times." Kairi smiled a bit, "But I'm glad to see you."

Leaning forward a bit, the redhead rested her elbow on the table and her chin on her palm. "So tell me, what did you want to talk about?"

Naminé tried not to fidget at the way Kairi seemed to be so interested in her. She'd never really had anyone look at her this intensely before, unless it was for some really bad reason. Blue eyes moved downward to stare at the mug between her hands.

"I just... wanted to talk," she answered honestly. "Roxas has met Sora now, so I... wanted to meet you."

Shyly, the blonde raised her head again to look at her Other. "Am I... really far behind you?" She meant in time, though she realized belatedly, her point might not have been as clear as she had wanted.

"That's fine, I understand," Kairi said softly, tilting her head a bit. After seeing Naminé look down, she tried to back off a bit. It never really occurred to her how shy her Other could be, since... well, Kairi wasn't shy at all most of the time.

Considering her question for a moment, the redhead nodded slowly. She'd understood. "I think you might be. I can't say for sure, because in my time we've only met once. I don't really know what you were doing before we met, but you look... a bit younger than me."

At the moment, a waitress stopped at their table to ask Kairi for her order. The girl just asked for hot cocoa too so they could continue their conversation. "What was going on before you arrived?"
