Seeing as Vexen had taken his leave without informing anybody, as usual, Larxene had taken care of the rest of the matters at the hotel. Ashe had informed her the night before that she was going to leave in the morning, and she was indeed gone. People weren't good company anymore these days. Motherfu--

Anyway.

Larxene's boots made quick tap, tap sounds agains the cobblestone in the street as she walked towards the nearest gate after having traveled around the whole day. Her head ached slightly from the slew of drinks she'd consumed the night before, but hey! Killer hangovers weren't her thing. Not that she got them, anyway. That coffee in the morning had helped her nerves, and her head, calm down a bit.

"...Son of a bitch. Everybody has just disappeared," she said to nobody in particular that night, wondering where the rest of the Organization was up to. Bunch of morons were probably fooling around like she was.

...Oh, look! Here was the icing on the cake!

"Well hello there. Who might you be?" she asked the cat-like person that ( ... )

The Cat's ears perked, silver ring catching the quickly failing light and flashing.

"I might be any number of people," he said smoothly as he glanced up from his rectangle. "Did you have anyone in mind?"

She quickly plastered her typical blank expression on her face to throw him off. She was the manipulator around here, not him.

"Nobody in particular," she began, eyeing him carefully. "But you could be your own indivuidual."

A tricky little fucker, now, wasn't he? This wouldn't be as easy as she ahd originally thought.

"I could be," the Cat conceided with a slight, fang-bearing grin. "But there is a time for that, and there is a time to be nobody. I have not yet determined what time it is."

Well, this may prove to be an interesting day after all.

"And why is that?"

He cocked his head slightly, a very catlike gesture, and flicked an ear in the direction of Larxene's hand, though that was all the acknowledgement he gave to it. His lazy grin remained though, and his bony tail flicked idly.

But before Larxene could answer this last question, a tall man with short blond hair and a suspicious frown emerged with one final shove from the crowd surrounding the Vanaheim gate. A few half-hearted cries of, "Hey, watch it!" and such could be heard from the otherwise mellow crowd as Seifer took a few steps away from the group and leaned himself up against a pillar nearby ( ... )

"...You know very well why," she bit back to Cheshire, looking at Seifer in the corner of her eye. Her hand twitched as she saw him stare at her and the strange cat-man. Her head turned in Seifer's direction after she heard his idiotic mockery.

"...Nobody likes a hypocrite," she said to him, a smirk slowly emerging from the expressionless face. "This isn't any of your business." Like she'd let some stupid fucker come out of nowhere and insult someone.

That was her job.

"Oh, sorry..." Seifer said, his voice dripping with arrogance as he put his hands up in mock defense and took a step closer. "I didn't mean to interrupt your cryptic little riddles," he assured Larxene a little too melodramatically to be taken seriously. He had been half-listening to the last few lines of the conversation and, frankly, found it quite stupid.

"I would ask you who the hell you think you are," Seifer added, his mocking grin growing a bit, "but after hearing what this catboy said, I'm almost afraid of how you'd answer."

The comment wasn't meant maliciously, although it most likely came across that way. In all honesty, Seifer was bored... and it had been a while since his last good verbal duel, anyway. This new woman seemed like a worthy opponent, Seifer arrogantly told himself, and to him it was all for the sake of his own entertainment, anyway. He didn't really know what Larxene made of the concept of an impending exchange... and honestly? He didn't really care all that much.

The Cat had simply fallen silent with the arrival of the newcomer, content enough to observe the squabble silently. It was amusing, how at odds they were without any of his help at all! He woulf be interested to see how this ended.

Idly, as he watched, the Cat's body began to disappear, first his feet, then his calves, thighs... He kept his tail even as his hips dissolved into nothingness, seemingly for no reason other than because it was still waving and he didn't seem to want to stop just yet.

"Wouldn't I like to know?" Seifer repeated without missing a beat, raising one eyebrow in amusement while still keeping his haughty little grin. He took another small step towards the woman, half for effect and half because he could tell he was obviously pissing her off. "If I really caredBut right at that moment, Seifer sensed something odd changing in his periphal vision. He turned just in time to see the Cat's knees vanishing from sight, that wild grin still plastered onto his face. "What the-!?" the blond exclaimed, hand instinctively grabbing backward at his gunblade. But his hand laxed as the thing continued to disappear passively ( ... )

"Oh, she can't tell you," the cat said idly as his stomach started to disappear. "Though I must say I am interested in seeing what she comes up with when asked."

With that he disappeared completely, though to be fair he didn't go far. He'd reappeared completely behind the blond man, clawed fingers running inquisitively down the gunblade's edge. "What an interesting weapon," remarked the Cat with a tilt of his malnourished head.

"What...?" Seifer repeated. He had never seen anything like this creature before, and it was confusing the hell out of him. He frowned deeply in suspicision as the thing disappeared completely, and then turned to flash Larxene a 'wtf?' look before he suddenly felt a presence directly behind him ( ... )

"Alright. This idiocy is really beginning to bother me," Larxene said to nobody in particular, looking at Cheshire quickly with an angered face. Sure, the sucker was pretty... er, weird, but then again so was everybody else in Paixao. Naminé had done a pretty good job with the place. She did feel like giving Cheshire a good slap in the face for his riddle-talk. This whole situation was making her rather angry.

Her hand flexed quickly before she finally let her yellow-and-blue daggers emerge from her leather gloves and let themselves settle between her knuckles. It wasn't too conspicuous, now was it? Just in case anything... unwanted happened.

"Idiocy, you think?" The Cat glanced sidelong at Larxene, clicking his claws distractedly. "You have no patience, it seems. What a pity." He disappeared again, though he was apparently not gone, because he spoke again. "You're no fun at all."
