Celes had been used to wandering, wonder what each day would bring. She had been in Paixao for weeks now and had come no closer to discovering anything than the first one that she came. Worse, the weeks had begun to blur together and she was fairly sure that she had missed some days in-between. She didn't like that feeling. Knowing that things had been happening all around her that she should be doing something about, and not knowing what to do about it ( ... )

"Oh--!" Aqua exclaimed, taken slightly off guard when Celes approached her. No one she'd passed so far had given her even a second glance, much less shown any concern for her. She accepted the warmth gratefully, however, as she turned to the woman. "I'm better now, thank you," she replied, offering Celes appreciative smile.

Aqua hadn't been here long, but, as she regarded the woman, it was quickly obvious to her that she appeared to not belong here as much as Aqua herself didn't. Appearances could be deceiving, however, so she was not about to assume.

"Nonsense." Celes replied, concern hidden behind a stern face. She straightened up and stood resolutely, her demeanor betraying years of overlooking military recruits. "Are you hungry? Hurt? Now is not the time to stay quiet and let yourself waste away due to pride."

Celes stayed close, watching for any other signs of fatigue. From what world did this person come from?

It seemed she was had, although truthfully she was much better. This was a far site better than anything she had been. Aqua shook her head, however. "No, I'm not injured, but..." she paused, touching her stomach. The ache of hunger was certainly there. Food would probably not be such a bad idea.

"I am a little hungry," she admitted.

Celes nodded, an objective was far easier for her to work toward than standing idle. "If you have the strength, we will go to my home. There is enough food and drink there for both of us." Her sternness ebbed as an open hand extended for Aqua, softness returning to her voice. "I would like to be of service to you, if you'd let me."
