He wasn't, but that didn't matter. Xigbar very seldom took casual strolls. There was far too much to see and hear for that, and with his predisposition toward poking his nose into everything, 'casual strolls' typically turned into exercises in spying. Having just arrived, it seemed like a good idea. Going to find the others could wait until later, or until one of them found him. Maybe they'd think he was showing initiative or something ( ... )

He finally looked at who he was talking to, and really didn't seem the least bit surprised. He'd worked with plenty of guys who'd gotten scuffed up, so a scar and an eyepatch weren't too bad as far as he was concerned.
"Name's Flynn Rider, what's yours?" He stepped in to hold out his hand for a handshake, and it was only then he noticed the color of this guy's eye. Now Flynn looked surprised.

He was careful not to let his grin widen at the look of surprise on the other man's face, instead taking the offered hand and shaking. "Craig." Not the most imaginative alias, but it would work.
"You're new, huh?"

"Yep. Just now got here. You know anything about this place?" He shook his hand a little to try to get the burning to stop, though it wasn't doing much good.

"City's called Paixao and a lot of people show up out of nowhere." That was about all he was willing to offer. He wasn't particularly interested in this place from a scientific perspective -- he just liked watching the lab rats squirm. "The blue things are communicators. Don't know a whole lot other than that; I just arrived, too."
Because apparently it was absolutely imperative that he was there, too. Tch. As if. Shrugging slightly, Xigbar focused on Flynn's hand again. "...You want something for that?" Might as well play the friendly act and see where it gets him; as strange as this guy was, with his frying pan and his shiny object fetish, he could be useful later on.
