Character(s): Flynn Rider, open to anyone
Content: Flynn arrives in Paixao
Setting: Niflheim
Time: afternoonish
Warnings: ...This guy is a warning unto himself? Anyway, nothing as far as ratings would go. XD
Flynn shook his head from side to side as he broke the surface of the water. Wait...this wasn't the Kingdom. The gash on his left hand started to burn painfully, and he realized the water tasted very, very salty.
"How'd I get to the ocean...?" He quirked an eyebrow, and swam toward shore. Thankfully he wasn't far out, but the salt in the wound on his palm wasn't going to stop stinging anytime soon. Not until he could find some fresh water to wash it with. At least he had the frying pan, if the guards showed back up. "Wait, Rapunzel!"
He looked everywhere in sight for her. "RAPUNZEL!" He dashed back out into the water, searching for any sign of the girl. "RAPUNZEL!!" He dove under and opened his eyes, but the salt water stung too badly to keep them open. He surfaced again, tried to think of why she wouldn't be here with him. They'd both gotten washed away at the same time, how could they have ended up in two different places. "No...no no no no! I have to find her!"
He went back to shore again, and this time noticed something that he hadn't while preoccupied with worry for the girl. There was a huge dome there, in just the right spot that he hadn't been looking there until just now. A giant gate that looked like glass...well...a really metallic glass loomed over him, and a line of people was slowly moving through. Flynn rushed toward it.
"Rapunzel, are you there?!" he called out desperately. But every last person there ignored him. Helplessly, he got in line behind them. Maybe...maybe she'd already gone inside, and he'd missed her. That had to be it!
"Welcome to Paixao." That had to be one of the most annoying voices Flynn had ever heard in his life. And she didn't even sound happy! Weren't you supposed to sound happy when you were welcoming someone to your kingdom?
"Thank you," Flynn said with emphasis, trying to get this woman to use some manners. However, all she did was hand him a blue...box thing and shout for the next person in line. "Hey wait a second! What is this thing?! Hey! Wait!!" Flynn was shoved inside without a chance for his questions to be answered.
And boy was the inside something to see. It was as beautiful as the Kingdom, maybe even more. And to a guy like Flynn, it was a dream come true. ...Except for the crowds. But everything, almost everything, was made of gold, or crystal, or silver, or some other kind of extremely expensive metal or mineral. And it was all sitting right out here in public, ripe for the taking!
Flynn was just about to get to work when his burning hand yanked him out of his thoughts. He'd forgotten about Rapunzel...and she was much more important right now.
