Hope yawned as he sat up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. He blinked away the initial fuzziness, then bolted sharply to his feet as his vision focused. "Where am I?" he asked the air, looking around rapidly to try to take in his surroundings and figure out where he was. He was supposed to be aboard Cid's airship, they'd just left PalumPolum. So the fact that now he saw a domed city rising up in front of him, and nothing was familiar about the scenery, or even looked like a place he'd ever heard of, left him completely lost.
After a moment, he noticed a line coming out of a gate, that slowly dwindled. With nothing else to do, he walked over to it, wondering what was inside.
