"I take it you are new here," a friendly voice suddenly called not too far away from Remus. Braska offered a small smile and took a few steps closer to the boy. "The first few days here are often rather confusing, although I am sure you've already received a taste of that with your welcome."

"I am Braska," he said wit ha small, polite bow. "If you would like, I could try and explain a little bit of what's going on?"

Remus slowly turned to face the person speaking to him. He had been distracted by the structure of the huge dome above him, and it took him a second to register that someone had been talking to him.

"It would seem so. I'm Remus. It's nice to meet you." He would have extended his hand, but it seemed that the man in front of him came from a different culture, so Remus bowed as well. Besides, his hands were still full from the electronic device and all the papers and pamphlets that had been shoved his way.

"I think it would be fantastic if you told me what was going on. One second, I was at school, and now, I'm here!" Remus paused for a second. Was it possible for Severus to have made a portkey out of the door? Impossible. If he had, the door would have come with him, and not mysteriously vanished. Also, there was no way Severus had any idea that Remus would have walked through that specific door at that time, so his arrival to this Paixao place was still a mystery.

"It's what this place does," another voice answered. One moment you'd back at home - wherever home was - and the next you were somewhere else entirely. Not really the most fun of things, all told. But Squall figured he could at least help explain nonetheless.

There wasn't a lot else he needed to do at the moment, after all.

Braska turned at the sound of the second voice, and nodded in agreement with the man who had just arrived as he turned back toward Remus. He had thought he'd seen the young man's picture once before, likely on the journals, though he couldn't place exactly from what conversations. "I don't think anyone knows the truth of it, to be honest," he added. It wasn't entirely true, but that was more speculation than anything else. "It seems to happen in an instant, and then you cannot get back."

"But," he was quick to advise with a gentle smile, "there are many places around here you can stay in the meantime. A small consolation, but it is something. Luckily, the fee is extraordinarily cheap." He turned toward the other man again, giving him a chance to add in whatever came to his mind.

Well, at least the people here seemed nice enough, though the idea that Remus was stuck in a strange place for an unknown amount of time didn't sit well with him.

"Ah, I see. I guess it won't be too bad here then. Though, what kind of currency is used here?" He was hoping to hear the words knut, sickle, and galleon, as he didn't have anything else on him. In fact, he didn't have much wizard money on him at all anyway, so he might have to make do with a park bench. There was no reason to carry any money on you at Hogwarts, and the money Remus had in his pockets was left over from a Hogsmeade trip.

Remus also focused his attention on the newcomer. He had yet to state his name, and he seemed a little...dark, but not dangerous. At least, not at the moment. He seemed to know some things about this place as well.
