Ariel hadn't planned on getting caught out in the rain, but she could hardly let such an inconsequential thing as a thunderstorm dampen her adventuring! There was still so much to see! Ariel also hadn't planned on wandering as far as the Vanaheim gate, but that was to be expected, since she very rarely used the map. That took the fun out of everything ( ... )

Naveen stopped his rather pointless struggle with the journal and looked up at the girl who addressed him. She seemed nothing like the rest of the citizens, who were blindly going about their day. Despite being here for only a few minutes, Naveen had picked up on the wrongness of this right away. It would be hard not too, to be honest.

"I seem to be having trouble with this... whatever this thing is," He replied, hoping the young lady would offer to help.

Ariel smiled sympathetically at Naveen, and took another look at the device strapped to his back. "I could carry the journal for you for a moment, if you'd like?" she offered, once again motioning to it, concern starting to color her tone just a bit. In such a strange and magical city as this, she'd thought there may have been various sizes of the journals... apparently not.

Any other person may have also offered to lead the newcomer inside, out of the rain, but Ariel was honestly enjoying. You can take the girl out of the water, but... well, that was a cliche better left alone.

"That would be very helpful, thank you,... I don't think I caught your name" Naveen replied, then he looked over the device again, 'journal?' "That doesn't look like any journal I've ever seen" Weren't journals usually books and not strange rectangular devises?

Ariel might have liked the rain, but Naveen didn't, not even in his amphibious form. "I think we should get out of the rain."

"They don't look like a journal to me either," Ariel admitted with an embarrassed laugh, "But you can communicate with others here, and use it like a journal if you want to," she offered, no expert on it, herself, just repeating what she'd heard.

"Oh gosh, I'm sorry! Let's see what's nearby..." she pulled out her own journal now, after having taken Naveen's and tucked it safely under her arm. She let out a very un-ladylike huff at what she found. A whole lot of nothing useful nearby. The closest thing was one of the Actua Are hotels.

"There's a hotel this way," Ariel gestures helpfully, "We can wait in the lobby until the rain stops?" she added, ever hopeful.

"Is that so?" Naveen replied, "That is an interesting device then"

When Ariel mentioned the hotel, Naveen replied "That seems like a good idea" And he started hopping over to the building.

"I haven't proper introduced myself, have I?" He asked when they got to the lobby, "I am Prince Naveen of Maldonia"
