Sapphire stretched beautifully, the sparkles around her glistened as she stopped walking for a moment to look at her surroundings. This area was so large, she contemplated, there's certainly much to do here. It was fascinating to see a world inside of one large building, the princess never imagined such architecture on this scale was entirely possible. Even so, she had been walking for a while to meet her friends, she was getting tired of it. Oh, she was very excited to see Sir Mao and regroup with Almaz, don't get her wrong- it all just felt... like a dream.
"Sir Mao!" She spoke up quite loudly, hoping her voice would be caught by her favorite Overlord in the world. ♥ "Almaz! Are you there?"
'Eager' was a good word for it. Almaz was very eager to meet up with Mao and Princess again. He wasn't the only one here! They remembered him! Talk about a stroke of good luck. Even if it was a little worrying when Mao said he'd already been here for a month--Almaz could have sworn he was right next to him before ending up here.
He could only hope that Mao hadn't gotten into any trouble. He was the kind of person that... took some getting used to, after all.
And his beloved Princess was here too! Oh, it was both a blessing and a curse. How it was a blessing didn't need any explanation, on the other hand, now Almaz had another reason to worry. Ahh, he could almost hear her voice...
Wait, no. Almaz blinked. That was her voice, wasn't it? Picking up the pace, Almaz hurried forward. The hospital was just up ahead now.
Mao's arms remained crossed as Sapphire approached, but his foot stopped tapping and the scowl on his face softened. Took her long enough. But where the hell was the Ex-Fake Hero? Weren't he and the princess supposed to be joined at the hip? Then again, he thought he had heard something about the two of them coming through different gates... Mao still didn't get why there needed to be four of them, since it seemed only one of them lead somewhere interesting.
Oh, there he was. Good. Now both of them were here. "You two better not go missing again," he warned, "If I have to hunt you down..." He'd let them fill in the blanks. It didn't even need to be said.
But first thing was first. He turned to Sapphire, "Where's my staff?"
"Hmm? Staff? Oh- that?" She laughed as she swayed her body in glee, "Only when I get to see Lady Beryl, Sir Mao." She gave him the sweetest smile possible, Sapphire wasn't one to fall for the tricks of a demon that easily. As much as she loved Sir Mao, there was no point in bending backwards for a favor when he couldn't supply the second half of their agreement.
She looked over at Almaz, that perpetual knot dissolved in her heart as she looked him over well. "I'm glad to see you're okay, Almaz. Are you sure you're still in one piece?" She leaned in close, inspecting him curiously... almost to the point of being just a liiiitttle bit too close. ♥ "Mm, all seems well here!"
The princess turned back to the young boy, "Sir Mao, you should know we wouldn't do anything to leave you alone again."
Miss Beryl, I'm sorry, but please don't show up, Almaz thought. He couldn't believe they would really go through with that deal--well, no, he could. Quite easily, in fact. Why was he still surprised?
Almaz turned his head away from Sapphire as she got close to examine him, mumbling confirmation that yes, he was pretty sure he was still all together, princess, and finding an extreme amount of interest in the buildings over there. Almaz struggled to keep down the blush spreading across his face.
He let himself breathe again when she turned to address Mao. "Y-yes, yes, we won't," Almaz agreed. He straightened himself up and took a quick glance around them. "Has it really been a month for you?"
