Content: Hojo is nefarious. Also Maya is easy to scare.
Setting: Inside what is now Hojo's lab.
Time: Tuesday night, late
Warnings: HOJO IS CREEPY. 8D

( Hojo sighed once the trio of strangers disappeared, quickly becoming weary of all this teleportation. )

Cloud nodded. "Of course I remember." Though Hojo hadn't really done anything to help him out. That had been mainly Marluxia. Maybe it was a mistake to not go with him to the offered comfort of the hotel. Anyhow, he wasn't worried. He was bound to see Marluxia again to pay up the debt.

And it wouldn't do to abandon Hojo now. They did have an agreement. And how bad could a simple experiment really be, now that Ansem was gone? Besides, if it wasn't Cloud, it would be either the girl left in the room or someone else less willing.

"I'm ready whenever you are, Hojo." And he was committed like that.

Well, that was easy enough. Hojo grinned, just a little, the expression reptilian and sort of creepy.

"I don't intend to start tonight... I have to put the lab back in working order and see what machines I can salvage, if any." Such pointless destruction of valuable equipment... somehow he didn't think replacing it would be an easy feat. Perhaps he could put up a request on that electronic message board for someone who worked with computers. Oh, he was good with electronics, but these would almost need to be completely rebuilt, or at least welded back together, and he was fairly sure he wouldn't be able to get them back in working order by himself.

Besides, he needed some time to think, mentally go over the information he had collected from the master computer before it was sliced open.

Then, of course, there was the matter of the girl. He couldn't just leave her here... well, maybe he could. Not all of the cages were ruined, just the one Cloud had been in, plus there were a few pod-like structures along one wall. It would not be ( ... )

Maya hastily flipped her journal shut, hiding it in her coat-- She was hoping nobody would notice she had it, for it was her only communication to the outside world, now that there were people out there she knew. She looked up at Hojo with a painfully obvious anxious look. She didn't know where she was at, and now she had a different view on him. She probably wouldn't of thought anything different from him, yet others had told her otherwise.

"W-Where are we?" Maya shakily asked. "I want to know where we are."

"It really doesn't matter," he said with a small shrug. "When it comes time for you to leave, I will give you directions back into town." Well, if she was to leave. He reached into a cabinet next to Maya's head, rummaging around for a few moments before pulling out a strip of paper.

"Let me see your hand."

She stepped back a bit, hesitant. "For what?" Maya demanded with a hint of nervousness. "I-- I want to know what you're gonna do before you do some whacko poofing stuff again!"
