Vexen kept his subject waiting quite a while. Luxord had seen his memories, after all, and evidently a lack of information was the best way to keep this particular subject off-kilter.

Instead, he entered via a portal behind the subject and circled around him, making sporadic notes on a clipboard and never making eye contact. His expression fell a bit as he noticed the note on the subject's broken rib. Why oh why was he always given damaged goods? If this had been Larxene's doing...

He returned to the counter behind the subject and lay the clipboard down, picking up a vial of darkness and a syringe in its stead. Time to begin.

It was the constant waiting that got him. Jintetsu wasn't an impatient guy, but he couldn't guess how long they'd had him here, just to ignore him. He was sure they were doing it on purpose, and gradually he'd come to wish they would just get it over with already.

He heard the man in black before he saw him, knowing the sound that came with them appearing out of nowhere. And as soon as he could see him, Jintetsu kept his one good eye firmly set on him until, never looking back, the man walked back out of sight. He wasn't one Jintetsu had seen before.

Maybe worth noting, if he made it out of this alive.

If things went the way Vexen hoped they would, Jintetsu wouldn't remember enough to identify him.

That remained to be seen. Before anything else, the procedure had to be performed. He headed around to his subject's side, rolling up the sleeve (after he'd made sure he had the flesh arm, of course - working with the metal arm would not have done Vexen any good). Finding a vein, he carefully inserted the needle and depressed the plunger, removing the syringe only after all the darkness had been injected and stepping back to observe his subject.

He would not make eye contact.
