Yorda stopped and blinked for a few moments when she realized someone had joined in. Perhaps this was a game, and the people here played with this strange creature (was it a kind of animal?). Another few moments, and she gave chase once more, smiling and laughing as innocently as a child would.

"Come back!" the glowing girl called, crawling after it faster now. "Why are you still running?" Maybe the game was to see how long it took to catch it.

Running alongside the tables was a lot faster than crawling under them, so Ivan quickly got a good two aisles ahead of the Djinn. It was hard to keep an eye on where it was, the way it kept ducking under and behind things, but if - was that girl glowing?

It was only a distraction for a moment, but that was long enough for the Djinn to dart ahead and into the next aisle on, which Ivan only noticed a split second too late. "Ah-! Wait!!" he shouted after it, although he knew very well it wasn't going to listen.

He caught up again at the next table, but this time it saw him coming and promptly darted back the way it came, leaving Ivan to backpedal over his own steps as well. Apparently, though, the Djinn had clean forgotten that Yorda was that way.

Yorda had been having so much fun that she had plain forgotten that she could get out from under the tables and run. It seemed unfair, anyway; the strange little thing had been going under the tables, so why shouldn't Yorda, as well? The princess reached out helplessly when it darted away but laughed in delight when it came back to her.

She stretched her arms out again in another attempt to gather the creature into her arms and hold on tight, her mouth curved in a gentle smile.

Too close to turn around, the Djinn zipped straight into the princess's waiting arms. For a few seconds, it struggled ineffectually against her grip, until at last it stopped and went calm.

Ivan skidded around the corner in time to watch the successful catch, and approached briskly, in case it managed to get away - but it didn't, and he let out an involuntary sigh of relief.

He looked to the girl again, to thank her, ask if she was okay, but what came out instead was entirely different. "Yorda??" He'd just spoken with her on the journals a few hours before, but for whatever reason it came as a surprise to actually run into her in person.

Yorda laughed happily, cuddling the creature in her arms. She sat under the tables, cross-legged, petting the little thing and smiling into it's face. At least, she thought that was a face, but she didn't mind if she got the details mixed up; they would sort themselves out sooner or later.

She was making her way out from under the tables, holding the Djinn in her arms carefully when she heard a completely unfamiliar voice call her name. She glanced up as she stood, blinking at Ivan, who seemed strangely familiar to her.
