"Spaceman?" a curious voice questioned. Despite having earned himself a bath and bed, Glitch looked no different than he did when he had arrived himself -- that is to say, he was still disheveled, his clothes were still worn and torn, and he looked somehow homeless. "I've never believed in those," he admitted, as though Donna surely cared and had, in fact, asked.

"But then," he added, after a moment's thought, "I've never believed in the Other Side either -- and here we are! Or there we were." He abruptly looked confused. "I can't remember which."

And then he thought he had a way to remember. Brightly, he asked, "You're not from the OZ, are you?"

Donna heard a voice coming from beside her, and turned to face whoever was talking. She raised an eyebrow slightly when she saw him, but didn't react anymore. With some of the aliens she'd seen lately, that was the best reaction he was going to get.

"I didn't before I met the Doctor." She said. "But then, I decided that maybe I should believe." And travel with him. She mentally added.

"And no, I'm not from the 'Oz.' I'm from Chiswick."

"I know the Doctor. 9 letters," Glitch mused aloud, and, rather, abruptly. "Or is it 10? Do you suppose the space counts?"

Regardless of whether it counted or not, Glitch looked suddenly very sheepish. "I'm sorry. Just a small, er, glitch, hee." There was something slightly off about his laugh -- a little forced, as though something was not quite right with his mind.

It dawned on Glitch that he was speaking to a stranger -- at least, someone who could be a stranger. She could also be a good friend -- or an acquaintance. "Er..." There just never was a way to put this delicately. "Have we met?"

Donna had to force herself not to take a step back at that moment. The laugh seemed off for anyone normal, she was able to identify that. But, at the same time, she wasn't getting a 'danger danger' signal in her mind. The signal she normally relied on to cue her to start running again.

"I don't think so." She said, placing her hands in her pockets. "Name's Donna, you are?" She was fine with giving him her first name, but she'd keep her last name to herself for now.

"Glitch," he told her merrily. "On account of the, well, glitching." Here, he touched the zipper on his head, pulling a bit on the zipper mechanism itself to show her. The zipper bisected the top of his head, with the mechanism on the back. Feeling it, he realized suddenly that it had come partly open.

"Oh, excuse me!" he muttered, properly abashed, as he took a minute to close it completely.

"Are you new here, Donna?" It was a polite enough question. "I've been here for ages myself -- or a few days. I can never seem to remember which."

Donna watched, and her eyes widened just a bit when he was able to unzip his head. Even with everything she had seen lately, that was a bit (really) odd to her. Out of consideration, she looked away when he seemed flustered and was trying to, get his head closed, in a way.

"Yes, I am." She replied. "I just got here." And was somewhat chased in... Although the glowing white creatures hadn't followed her into the domes, just stared after her.

"I should ask...have you seen a man in a brown trench coat around? He looks like a human beanpole, he's so skinny...Answers to 'Doctor?'"

"Nope!" Glitch replied, cheerfully as ever. "Haven't seen him!"

Now that his zipper problem was straightened out, he seemed to be much better.

"The Doctor, the Doctor... I wonder why that sounds familiar?" As usual when trying to remember information, he was at a loss.

"I guess you'll find him if he's here -- a beanpole, you say?" The man looked thoughtful, as though he were imagining a lively beanpole wearing a trenchcoat. "Say, where ya headed, Doll?" He grinned broadly -- it was friendly enough, if somehow childish. "I'll escort ya!"

...Memory problems much? Glitch at first, didn't seem to know who she was talking about, but then contradicted himself, saying that the name sounded familiar at least.

"Yeah, tall, skinny, wearing brown. It's a strange likeness." She sighed. "As for where I'm going, I have no idea. I don't even know where to start to look for anyone."

Glitch didn't seem at all offended by being brushed off. Rather, his face lit up, and he extended an arm -- like a gentleman.

"I'd be happy to escort ya, Doll!" And while she was no doubt still deciding whether it was safe to take his arm or not, he suddenly danced away, journal in hand. "Okay, now, according to this..." The map flickered. "...Where did you want to go?"

He peered at her expectantly from above the screen, poised and waiting.

This guy didn't seem so bad, he seemed like a true gentleman. She was going to link her arm through his, but he danced away before she could. What an interesting fellow. She thought, and then he stopped holding his journal.

"Here, let me see." She held out her hand to take a glance at the journal. "Or, better yet, show me that on mine?"

"These are journals," Glitch explained. And it took a little bit of doing (and all of Glitch's concentration), but the map did eventually appear on Donna's journal...

"Ah-hah! There it is!" Triumphantly, Glitch gestured to the output. "We're here -- you can navigate the map using these, search for desired locations -- it's really a neat little device. See, our position is transfixed on the map, likely by the use of a directional location beam grounded in th--" It was all coming so fast, a scientific observation of genius...and then...

"Oh! A cafe!" Indeed, the map had settled on the nearest cafe to the gate. "Gosh, I do feel like pie... Think maybe they have some?"

"Journals, huh?" She mused out loud, watching as he brought up the map on hers. Making mental notes as he went, she made sure she could remember how he did it, in case she was on her own later down the road.

Her attention was diverted towards him as he seemed to have a flash of inspiration...something different from how he had been before. But as quickly as it came, it seemed to leave.

"So, it's kind of like a GPS, hmm?" She asked. "And, lets go." She was a bit more cheerful now, she at least had someone to talk to.
