That had been a close one. The Prinnies had escaped from the hotel room with a Very Angry Etna in it with their skins intact (which was a miracle in and of itself), and somewhere between there and here - they'd managed to make it back to yet another gate - they'd stopped being human and become Prinnies once again.

Oh well. It wasn't any skin off their collective noses - erm, beaks. The metaphor didn't transfer well.

All three of them caught sight of the...um...the red...person?...at about the same time, and by silent accord they all ducked into various hiding places to observe - Keesling in the shadow of a doorway, Bellatrix around a corner of an alley and peeking out, and Freidrich (demonstrating once again his inability to understand the concept of a "good hiding place") behind a lamppost that didn't really conceal him.

Hexadecimal took notice of the penguin attempting--and failing quite spectacularly--to hide behind a lamppost. Sweeping her hand across her face, her mask took on a more sinister look, though not as sadistic as it might have been. She was interested more than anything, for the moment.

She had never seen a sprite quite like that one. It looked like some sort of animal, though certainly not a dog or cat. She hovered--walking was just boring--over to the little blue creature.

"Well, well, what have we here?" she asked, and the mask didn't move one bit as she spoke.

Larxene would only be here a moment. She had something to do, was all. It hadn't taken her too long to track down the prinnies she'd known were in the city. If they wanted a picture... Well, they'd get their picture.

Materializing behind the prinny hiding in the doorway, she almost laughed. The prinny would need a coat of paint, but aside from that, perfect. She snatched the prinny and disappeared a moment later through a portal of darkness. She didn't spend time taunting before leaving.

She had painting to do, after all.

"I'm a Prinny, dood!" Friedrich, figuring his cover was pretty spectacularly blown, announced to the red...person?...if it was a person, that is. "Who're you, dood?"

Bellatrix slapped a flipper across her eyes and sighed in frustration. Leave it to Freidrich to screw things up...again...her attention turned to Keesling just in time to see the youngest of her squad kidnapped.

Wait, kidnapped?!

"Keesling!" she yelled, bolting across the street, no longer caring whether the red person(?) saw her. Keesling!" By the time she reached the doorway where he'd been, he was gone, as was the person who'd taken him. She poked at the door, looking for any trick that would let her follow them, and finding none, pounded it angrily with a flipper, finally turning back to Freidrich.

"He's gone, dood."

"I'm called Hexadecimal," she replied, sweeping a hand across her face again to switch it to the painted-on smile. "Are you all by yourself, Prinny?"

A few moments later it was revealed that the little penguin appeared to have a friend, and Hexadecimal watched the female-sounding one run all but flailing.

"Oh, who's gone~?" Hexadecimal asked, not much caring if they did or didn't want her involved in the conversation.

"No, I- what?" Freidrich squawked, completely taken aback by Bellatrix's announcement. He hadn't noticed anything happening at all. "Keesling's gone!" he flailed, repeating the message to Hexadecimal, despite the fact that she'd likely heard it anyways. "We lost Keesling, do-"

He was cut off as yet another large, unwieldly object came down forcefully on his head courtesy of Bellatrix. "'Scuse us, dood," she said perfunctorily to Hexadecimal as she dragged the slightly-less-than-conscious Freidrich away. They needed to plan, and the red person-thing sure didn't need to be in on it.

Hexadecimal was not about to let the prinnies off that easily. Their predicament was amusing, at the least, and could bring some fun at the best. She glided right after them, though this time she kept herself quiet. After all, it would be no fun if they discovered her before she found out what was going on.
