Beast Boy was glad that they ended up finding something for Carbuncle that would be comfortable--he even made a hole for his tail in his pants, because he knew what it was like to spontaneously have a tail and not be able to stick it through your pants--as well as finding a change for himself. He didn't want to be in his uniform during his stay at Paixao, at least for the entire time. So he had his uniform on and a change of clothes as well.

One of his elfish ears twitched when Kronk began to offer the jerky, giving him an amused look as he though twice and decided to offer granola bars or trail mix. "I wonder if they've got tofu in one of the stores around here..." he idly thought aloud, before nodding to the offer. "Something to chew on sounds good, actually." He glanced to Carbuncle to make sure he wasn't going to fall, taking it slow on the walking in case the summon needed help.

Clothes. Humanstuffs. Carbuncle felt funny in them, but at the same time he couldn't deny that he actually liked it. They were snuggly, and fun, and there was a tail hole so that his tail could go wagwagwag! and not help I'm stuck!, and at least people weren't staring at him funny anymore. It was in this new groove fashion that he attempted to walk out of Cid's Shop, tiny legs wobbling all the while. "Miii ( ... )

Kronk was in the middle of handing over one of the granola bars to Beast Boy when he heard Carbuncle call out in warning and scramble away as fast as he could go. The muscular man looked around in confusion, wondering what had gotten into his fuzzy little friend. Then he saw them. Strange creatures that were moving around some of the other buildings and terrorizing the people there. There were a few screams of pain in the distance, and the things causing it were getting closer. Kronk stopped in his tracks, wondering what to do.

"I think we have some trouble," he announced to Beast Boy, although it was pretty obvious by this point. "Those animals are hurting innocent people. Maybe we should break it up or something... You think we can talk to them and tell them to cut it out before someone gets seriously injured and the townsfolk get angry and hunt them all down and burn down their territories and destroy the whole habitat?"

Garfield turned to watch Carbuncle run off, elfish ears twitching again before he narrowed his eyes towards the white creatures. His natural protective instincts popped up immediately at the sight of them. He observed the movements of the creatures for a moment, before he narrowed his eyes distinctly. "Those aren't animals... they don't move like them... or humans... I don't know what they are..." he sniffed, and wrinkled up his nose.

"Can you put these clothes in your bag, Kronk? I can't carry them when I'm in animal form, and I don't think they'd slow you down..." Beast Boy was more concerned about the safety of the citizens, because his natural hero ideas were there. "We need to help who we can, and I have to find Raven..." he'd tried not to spazz out too badly after that conversation over their communicators, but now he had a better excuse for it. "I think if Carbuncle ran, he has the right idea of how to keep himself out of trouble."

"Right, pack them up," Kronk said, quickly unzipping the bag and taking the clothes from Beast Boy to toss them inside. He was still curious as to what the creatures were... But Beast Boy didn't seem to think they were any sort of animal, and he was probably the best one to know. The things seemed to be pretty dangerous, too. They weren't just trying to injure, they looked like they were trying to actually kill people. This didn't exactly sit well with Kronk. Beast Boy seemed to be ready to fight them, and Kronk wondered if he should join in as well... If they couldn't be reasoned with (and apparently that seemed unlikely), then that left only one option to help the poor innocent townspeople. Kronk just didn't like it ( ... )
