Garfield waited until Kronk had his extra clothes in his backpack before he turned to face the fight again. He was trying to figure it out at the moment, but the problem was that he couldn't easily without his smarter comrades. Robin would know exactly what to do, so would Raven and Cyborg. Starfire would just know to blow them up with starbolts, really... He wished they were there ( ... )

Kronk ran in after the shapeshifter, unable to make quite an entrance into the fray as his companion did, but trying all the same. He went after one of the ones that had fled out of Beast Boy's path, wincing a little in sympathy as he slashed at it with the knife. He only got in a glancing blow on the thing as it swerved to the side, moving even quicker than he had expected it to be able to. The large man had to go on the defensive almost immediately, as it swung back on him in a counterattack. The cut it had sustained barely seemed to slow it down ( ... )

The rhino continued to pound through the Nobodies, tossing his head and sending them flying about the place. However, he seemed to notice that Kronk needed a little help shortly after. Tossing his head up to send a white creature flying off the massive horn, Beast Boy shapeshifted into what seemed to be the extinct sabretooth, bobcat-like tail flicking behind him before he snarled. Unsheathing his claws, he turned his green and bristled body up over in the direction of Kronk. The other people needed help, but Garfield actually knew the other man and would not leave him in trouble.

With that in mind, the ancient tiger with foot-long teeth leapt at the nearest Nobody to Kronk, snatching it in his mouth and easily crushing it. It disapeared with a loud pop, an odd feeling to have in your mouth, but that just helped Beast Boy assess that they were most certainly not human nor animal and not even really human. "You all right, Kronk?" he called back, fur bristled before he glanced in more creatures directions.

Kronk took a moment to answer, dodging a blow and finally managing to slam his blade home, sending one of the creatures into a twitching heap on the ground. It wasn't exactly the best feeling he'd ever had, watching it die in front of him, but there wasn't much time to dwell on it. "I'll be okay," he called back to his friend, his voice a little strained. He was looking around for anyone that they could help, but it seemed like most of the citizens had fled or been killed already. There probably were still some other people around them, but they were hiding, not fighting.

Of course, that meant that all the creatures were now advancing on the two of them. Kronk was glad that Beast Boy was so able in a fight like this, but he wasn't sure how long the two of them could keep on fighting if the creatures kept coming.

Beast Boy shapeshifted once again, this time into what seemed to be a kangaroo. Wrinkling up his muzzle, he hauled back onto his tail and launched his legs forwards, knocking multiple creatures away from him before bouncing to the side and away from some. However, he was not so lucky, as he was pounced and piled enough that it required him morphing into a gecko and scrambling out from that pile with utmost speed.

It was then he found himself scrambling behind Kronk to transform back to his original body, frowning deeply. "I have a feeling we can't keep fighting them, dude..." he mind-read, balling up his gloved fists to punch one away that way. "We should probably move for safer territory soon... pick up some people who might need our help..." he was pretty sure his pterodactyl form could fit in this place, and he could probably carry Kronk easy. He was about Cyborg's size, but Cyborg was... well, a cyborg. And Kronk was probably much lighter.

Kronk slammed his fist down on one of the Nobodies' heads, knocking it flat. "Retreat? Might be a good idea! Those who fight and run away live to fight another day... And, you know... we'll need rescued ourselves if we stay - ungh!" he was cut off by another Nobody knocking the wind out of him. He grappled with the thing for a moment, managing to kick it away from him after a moment. He really wasn't cut out for this kind of thing, he thought ruefully. Sure, he had muscles, but he didn't like this close combat, and he didn't think he was very good at it, either.

"Doesn't look like we can do much more good here," he told Beast Boy. "Whatever you want to do, I'll follow your lead."
