halloween
I've enjoyed quite a few fun Halloweens in my life. It's kind of ironic that I really get into the holiday considering my upbringing. It's always interesting to visit "home." Never does the phrase "You can never go back," ring more true than it does when I return. It's always a mixed bag of emotions, and this trip was no exception. It seems that the school year is in full swing. I have scheduled roughly 25 classes, which is about half what I had for the whole year last year so I am on track or ahead of last year. Just wanted to post an update about my brother and Austin. My brother never did have surgery because the hospital people are morons. But, luckily, the stone seems to have passed and he is not in pain. Or at least that is the last I heard. My family is exceedingly horrible at informing me about anything going on back home ( Read more... ) -

I had a great weekend, especially considering that Wade worked. I had friends over Friday and Saturday to hang out and Saturday during the day we went shopping (and who doesn't love retail therapy?) Sunday we went to the park and the zoo and Sunday to the beach and the final Shorebirds game of the season. Lots of fun was had by the whole family ( Read more... ) -
last summer getaway
We spent the last two days in Philadelphia, our first time visiting there except I did spend about two hours there during a layover on my flight to interview at SU last year. What a fantastic weekend! We were quite the social butterflies :) We spent Friday on the beach and Friday night at the Shorebirds game which was super exciting as it went into extra innings and the 'Birds pulled it out!
