It seems that the school year is in full swing. I have scheduled roughly 25 classes, which is about half what I had for the whole year last year so I am on track or ahead of last year. We are in the process of trying to get our finances in order because we fell dreadfully behind in the past year with Wade not working a "real" job for months. And we are trying not to get too used to the routine because Wade might be switching shifts in only a month or so.
I wish there was more to report...We had a busy, yet fun weekend hanging out with friends. My friend Amanda's son came through surgery well and is doing great! They go back to find out the results of the biopsy tomorrow, I believe. He may need chemotherapy :( We are considering a trip to Indiana in late October if Wade's schedule remains the same. I hate having to wait until the last minute to make firm plans, but the state seems not to care about his life outside work.
An impending trip home is the best motivator for me as far as diet and exercise is concerned. I am still struggling with the 5-10 pounds I gained as a result of my medical fiasco this summer. I can't possibly go home weighing more than my last visit, so that extra poundage has to go. I have been to swim laps 3 times in the last week, and I am always impressed with how quickly I get into swim-shape. I am already swimming 2000 yards with no problem at all. I could swim farther, but right now I really have to limit my swims to 45 minutes so I can get to work at a reasonable time. Tonight I plan to resume weight training, which just happens to coincide with the season premier of The Biggest Loser, a show that I find highly motivating!
It's another busy week...and Wade is actually working through next Monday. We won't see each other much especially since I work on Saturday. I'm sure we will make the most of the time we do get :) I have a friend coming to hang out with me tonight and the new librarian is going to hang out and do laundry here tomorrow, so it's nice to know I won't be totally bored and lonely!
