Jaejoong’s been handing out promises by the dozen, fresh and sweet and bitter on Yunho’s tongue because - there’s no way, there’s no way he can do this much. They’re sharing dark night silences; it’s another fight over something half-said, another ‘because I care’ dying on chapped lips before it touches the air.

Yoochun is biting the tips off candies, feeding the rest to Jaejoong. He’s telling Yunho what Jaejoong’s not saying, but no one’s listening. hey how long are you two going to fight, Yoochun runs fingers down Jaejoong’s ribs, how long, i’m tired, we’re tired. There’s dead air and a whole lot of cigarette smoke emotions.

They’re propped in front of cameras and Changmin is shielding Jaejoong from the bright lights, truth too raw on his hyung’s face, in his hyung’s thoughts. "What does Dong Bang Shin Ki plan on doing for promotions this year?" and Junsu’s stealing words from Yunho’s silent mouth, rambling and laughing and look, you guys, look how good at acting we’ve gotten. look, we love you.
Yunho wakes up to Jaejoong hunched over his bed, his eyes wide and empty above Yunho’s head. what, Yunho is thinking, what now, i’m tired, joongie, dammit. Jaejoong is pushing cold hands against his forehead, sighing, touching Yunho’s neck feather-light; he’s leaving for the fake comfort of his own bed. i’m tired too, i’m so tired. and maybeiloveyou.
They close their eyes, try to sleep.
