The geekiest post I'll ever write. Probably.

Starting this entry, I sort of despair as to how I can convey half of the coolness of the last two days to anyone isn’t a raving C.S. Lewis nut. (Dad, I suppose this entry is for you!) So I’ll just plunge in.

For the last two days I’ve been at a colloquium on C. S. Lewis’s Perelandra, the second book in his Space Trilogy. It’s a small book, but

Thank you, I'm actually teary re-reading it myself! I'll be posting my notes on WH's lecture tomorrow, there are some great CSL anecdotes. He's such a lovely man, probably in his mid-seventies, and I think quite awed by the position he holds. I can't tell you how cool it was to talk to someone who'd actually sat around with the Inklings week after week, and probably the last person allive to have done so. What a weekend.
