I don't want to get on the plane and go home because then the waveform will collapse and my baby boy will really be gone, not just be reported as dead.

I'm so sorry for your loss. With Oscar (Kevin's cat) we asked a vet to cremate him and Kevin was looking into getting his ashes working into either a tattoo or a glass sculpture. Maybe one of these is an option?

*hugs*

Hugs. I'd say decide what will give you the most comfort and do that. I know I got some comfort from keeping some whiskers from my wonderful kitty Diana after she died. They reside in a mojo bag I keep on my personal shrine.

Muffin died just a few months ago, I made her a satin funeral shroud out of an old, larger Janet slip. I covered the shroud in purple flowers (affixed with hot glue) and a purple ribbon. When she was placed inside the ribbon was used to secure her inside of the shroud. We buried her under my favorite flowering dogwood tree, and nailed her collar to the trunk. I loved her dearly and I appreciate having a place to visit her. She is gone, so the shroud was just for me, but making her something beautiful really helped the pain. I kept her toys because some day when we're ready, it will be nice for another cat to inherit his or her big sister's old things.

I'm very sorry for your loss =(

You know I love you, and you know you can ask me for help with any of the above, and I will do whatever I can.

I have a hand-pump and could pump up your tire while I'm near your place today, if that makes things any easier - though it sounds like your car isn't at your home.
