I really should be happier, but my grandma was being a bit of a bitch tonite.  I found out today i made the dean's list, and i was happy.  And the second i told her about it, she said "do you get any money for it?" and i said no, just a letter of recognition.  Well she replied saying to let her know when i get money, not just a stupid letter.  and ( Read more... )

I hear ya, man, I hear ya. What can I say, but I'm proud of you! (Although I must admit, sometimes I feel like eating her brisket is more of an achievement than anything I've done in school)

It's no Everlasting Babka...

And driving with mom is never fun. Seriously, drive with dad. You can even take mom's car to do it if you ask her nicely. Now you know how I felt that one time I drove with mom, and realize why I never drove with her again. Except you don't have YOU sitting in the back seat adding insult to injury when mom does her flip-outs and wheel-grabbing.

Get mom's car with dad in it - and get good practice from taking Valley Circle, or whatever that road was that we used to take to get to school every day.

screw grandma - I'm proud of you :p. Those dean's list letters are hard to come by, and will certainly help with your pay check once you've graduated. Or $$$ for grad school. So let her know that the check is in the mail, all you have to do is graduate.

Also, AMEN to NEVER driving with parents in the car. It is perhaps the most nerve-wracking experience you will ever have. I had to drive my mom to the airport a couple weeks ago at 6 AM. Needless to say, I was not awake yet. I was driving on roads that I rarely drive on, and it we were running late. NEVER AGAIN.

I'm sorry we haven't talked yet, dear. We need to talk before I leave for Madrid. I hope you're doing okay. Much <3
