Am adding this to memories and shall try it out.

One question, though - in step 3, where you create the new raster layer, is that a transparent layer, a particular colour, or a duplicate of the original base?

i made a new raster layer, to ensure that i wouldnt mess up the icon. so there's really no point to making the new layer. :D
